The Europa mission will conduct detailed reconnaissance of Jupiter's moon Europa and investigate whether the icy moon could harbor conditions suitable for life. The mission will place a spacecraft in orbit around Jupiter in order to perform a detailed investigation of the giant planet's moon Europa -- a world that shows strong evidence for an ocean of liquid water beneath its icy crust and which could host conditions favorable for life. The mission will send a highly capable, radiation-tolerant spacecraft into a long, looping orbit around Jupiter to perform repeated close flybys of Europa.

Europa Orbiter Viewer Preparation
A small part of the Europa Orbiter was prepared for Web viewing from a stereolithography file (STL), prepared by NASA. Seven Thunder Software careful reduced the number of vertices used to form the shape of the part. WebGL shaders, GLSL (OpenGL Shader Language), process shiny metal lighting within the GPU. What is 3D Printing?
3D printing creates a three dimensional object with a computer. Most 3D prints originate with a 3D model, digital media, or CAD. A common 3D print file type, called Stereolithography (STL), can be used to create parts, models, patterns, and prototypes. However 3D printers use a variety of technologies to create practically any shape you can imagine.
3D Prints Online
Often STL files require careful modifications, including simplified modeling and texturing techniques, to reduce file size. Reducing file size, decreases download time. Unedited STL files won't display on some mobile devices, due to their large file size.
