Displacement Map Example

Tap the Canvas or the Play Button

Tap the canvas to see one frame at a time. The WebGL vertex shader uses a colorful image texture map, displacement map, and animation frame time to move vertices. Read the WebGL displacement shader overview which explains how the vertex shader processes displacement and fragment shader prepares color for rendering.

The animated scene moves vertices based on an image map and animation frame time.
